Stamford Hotels and Resorts was formed in 1995 by our parent company, Stamford Land Corporation Ltd (formerly known as Hai Sun Hup Group Ltd), one of Singapore's best known public companies.
Stamford has grown to become the largest owner/operator of premium quality hotels in Australia and New Zealand.
Stamford Land has established a significant geographic presence across Australia and New Zealand with hotels in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland, New Zealand.
Now, the Group operates a hotel portfolio with nearly 2500 rooms, 2200 employees, and residential assets.
The Stamford brand is positioned in the 4.5 and 5 star market segments with a unique portfolio of landmark premium and luxury hotels in key geographic locations.

Meet Sir Stamford Raffles.
Our Group proudly takes its name from Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of Singapore and a great pioneer who showed enormous personal vision and strength of spirit to overcome many challenges and obstacles.
Sir Stamford was a gifted visionary of the British Empire in the Far East, being a Lieutenant Governor of Java, and founded Singapore in 1819 on the belief that the island was destined for greatness.
Today Singapore has a well-developed economy and harmonious society, living up to Sir Stamford's expectations.
Sir Stamford Raffles' attributes underpin the core values and objectives of our Group and we hope to carry on his tradition of excellence.
Our 'Knight's Head' Logo is conceived from Sir Stamford's family crest and symbolises the vision and strength of spirit of this gifted pioneer.
