Interactive Theatre International presents:

Faulty Towers The Dining Experience - Melbourne International Comedy Festival, April 2018.

The globetrotting hit returns for its 12th Comedy Festival, but this time to a great new venue in the heart of the city.

Featuring Basil, Sybil and Manuel dishing up a 3-course meal, this internationally acclaimed 5-star show is full to the brim with madness and mayhem. It’s ‘Definitely worth getting off the couch for’ (Theatre Whispers).

Chaos reigns right from the start in a fully immersive experience that sees the audience become diners in the ‘Faulty Towers’ restaurant. With 70% improvised and a unique theatrical script, it’s a truly ingenious show that’s perfect for comedy fans, theatre fans, or anyone who just fancies a great night out.

This loving tribute to the BBC’s best-loved sitcom is an internationally acclaimed treat. It opened in Brisbane in 1997 and now has 10 teams of cast touring the world virtually non-stop.

The cast for MICF 2018 features Monique Lewis Reynolds (Sybil), Anthony Sottile (Manuel) and Luke McGibney (Basil).

“Genius” (Cream Magazine, Fringe World Perth 2017)
“Flawless… and I mean flawless” (The Advertiser, Adelaide Fringe 2017)
“Crammed full of laughs” (Everything Theatre, London 2017)
“Nothing Faulty about this evening of superb food and comedy” (Limelight Magazine, Sydney Opera House)
“Outrageously funny” (BroadwayBaby, Edinburgh Fringe)
“Hilarious…catch it before it leaves” (Best of Toronto, Sony Centre for the Performing Arts)

Notes:

  • Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is an affectionate homage to Fawlty Towers, the BBC TV series written by John Cleese and Connie Booth. Their original TV scripts are not used in Faulty Towers The Dining Experience.
  • The show tours the world non-stop. Highlights in 2018 include constant touring in Australia and the UK, with seasons in Sydney Opera House, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Fringe Festivals in Perth, Edinburgh, Adelaide and Melbourne.
  •  The show’s residency in London’s West End has been topping the bill since 2012 and holds TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence for three years running.
