Cancellation Policy
Riverfire began in 1998 and has grown into Brisbane’s biggest annual fireworks spectacular and the signature event of the Brisbane Festival. Each year, it marks the festival’s opening night and draws crowds from across Queensland and beyond to the Brisbane River, where military flyovers, live entertainment, art, music and a breathtaking fireworks finale come together in a vibrant celebration of community and the city’s iconic riverside setting.
Riverfire 2026 takes place on Saturday, 5 September 2026. The famous fireworks display begins at 7:00 PM, with entertainment and festivities taking place throughout the afternoon and evening across Brisbane.
The Riverfire 2026 event at Stamford Plaza Brisbane runs on Saturday, 5 September 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
